Applications now open for Laing O’Rourke’s 2018 graduate program

The construction firm is inviting applications for its national graduate program, targeted towards high potential graduates.Laing O’Rourke has opened applications for its Graduate Development Program (GDP) for 2018.

Targeting high potential graduates, the program is structured over two years and designed to give individuals a comprehensive overview of Laing O’Rourke and the wider construction industry.

Consisting of three main streams – engineering, construction management and commercial management – the GDP focuses on developing the essential foundations of a graduate’s career.

This is done by offering office and site-base rotations through the key functions of the business.

Laing O’Rourke’s General Manager of Human Capital & Corporate Affairs Josh Murray said the program provides graduates with a much more developed sense of what leadership and engineering practice means in today’s work environment.

“The GDP is developing our future leaders and we are extremely proud of the success of the program to date,” Mr. Murray said

“Our graduates get the benefit of mentoring, career planning and progression and regular appraisals and performance based reviews.”

As part of the GDP, the graduates are also encouraged to work towards attaining full chartership status with a relevant construction, engineering or quantity surveying institution.

Applications for the GDP are open to recently qualified graduates of civil, construction, mechanical, electrical or commercial disciplines or students about to complete their degree.

Applications close at 11.59pm on Sunday, 23 April 2017.
