Arcadis wins IREA role on West Gate Tunnel project

Independent assurance services firm Arcadis has won the Independent Reviewer and Environmental Auditor (IREA) Services contract for the $5.5 billion project in Melbourne.

The project is a proposed tunnel and elevated motorway connecting the West Gate Freeway with the Port of Melbourne, CityLink and the city CBD. It will also provide an alternative Yarra River crossing to the West Gate Bridge.

Arcadis will provide independent review and environmental auditing services during the Preferred Respondent as well as the Design and Construction phases. The company is the project lead and will deliver it in collaboration with WSP and APP.
