The Bend Motorsport Park outside Adelaide in South Australia measures in at 7.77 kilometres long. The Downer Group has completed the construction of the second largest permanent racing circuit in the world.

“Downer’s significant experience in surfacing race tracks around Australia made them the obvious choice for delivering a world-class race track. Their planning, resourcing and execution of the works enabled them to deliver a quality result within the required timeframe,” said Civil & Structural Engineering Manager from Peregrine Corporation Mark Bowman.

Downer has delivered race tracks for 30 years, including the Hidden Valley Motorsports Complex and the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit.

“The Bend is set to become an iconic sporting facility for South Australia, and will deliver local and international major events for the State. We are proud to have delivered this exciting project safely, on time, and to the highest quality,” said General Manager of Downer’s Airports and Specialised Pavement team Mark Taylor.
