Nominations open for 2016 SA Training Awards

The search is on for South Australia’s best and brightest vocational education and training students, apprentices, employers, training organisations and teachers.

Nominations for the 2016 SA Training Awards, hosted by the state’s Training and Skills Commission, are now open.

The awards celebrate the success and acknowledge the importance of quality training and education in South Australia. The awards comprise of 11 categories, including six for individuals and five for organisations.

  • Apprentice of the Year
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year
  • School-based Apprentice of the Year
  • Trainee of the Year
  • Vocational Student of the Year
  • VET Teacher or Trainer of the Year
  • Industry Collaboration
  • Medium Employer of the Year
  • Large Employer of the Year
  • Small Training Provider of the Year
  • Large Training Provider of the Year

 

Winners of the state awards may have the opportunity to represent South Australia at the national Australian Training Awards later in the year.

The Australian Training Awards also have seven award categories open for direct entry. Businesses that have 19 or fewer full-time equivalent employees can directly enter the Small Employer of the Year Award category.

Entry to all awards is free and nominations close on Sunday 1 May 2016.

The South Australian Training Awards presentation dinner will be held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Friday 9 September 2016.
