Expressions of Interest are now open to complete the northern sections of as part of Melbourne’s $1 billion M80 Ring Road Upgrade.
The first Victorian two-lane roundabout with physical lane separators and kerbing designed to separate traffic on approach will be installed on the intersection of the Surf Coast Highway and South Beach Road in Torquay.
Works are underway on stage two of the $711 million Monash Freeway Upgrade which will add 36 kilometres of new lanes and will save drivers an additional nine minutes in travel time when complete.
The Victorian Government has awarded the contract for a 1.2-kilometre upgrade of the road, which involves adding a lane in each direction between Ormond Road and the South Gippsland Highway in Hampton Park.
More than 13 kilometres of new lanes have been opened on Melbourne’s M80 Ring Road to reduce congestion and increase capacity of the road as part of the $300 million upgrade project.
