Mott MacDonald has appointed a new rail leader for Australia and New Zealand who will be responsible for the development and growth of the consultancy’s rail team across Australasia.
The consultancy firm’s new technical director will be based in Victoria and responsible for leading its tunnel projects and pursuing new opportunities across the country and Asia-Pacific.
The Federal Government has awarded the $6 million feasibility design contract for Inland Rail between Illabo and Stockinbingal in New South Wales.
Detailed design works for the project will begin immediately, following the Australian and South Australian governments’ announcement of the successful contractor.
Around $30 million worth of feasibility and detailed design contracts have been awarded in four sections of the Melbourne to Brisbane Inland Rail project across New South Wales and Victoria.
