The $160 million project has been officially opened at a community day marking the completion of the major construction project in Adelaide.
The successful contractor will commence construction on the project next month, now expected to cost $6.7 billion – about $1.2 billion above its original estimated cost, with the Victorian Government finalising contracts on the project this week.
The Australian Government has signed off on its $44.2 million contribution to the package, which applies to 16 projects and will be rolled out over the next four years.
