With state and federal governments ramping up investment in rural road safety in the 2018-19 budgets, safety countermeasures, such as the ShoulderMaster, are finding a unique place in the market.
The Western Australian Government has provided the program with a nearly $30M funding injection, which will go towards safety works including road widening, realignment and intersection upgrades.
The upgrades are part of the Tasmanian Government’s single biggest investment into the region’s tourist roads through its $72 million Roads Package to Support Tasmania’s Visitor Economy.
The Australian Government has committed $20 million towards upgrades to the Rockhampton area road network to support road train access.
A joint venture has been awarded the contract for construction of Stage 4 of the project, between Mersey Road at Bringelly and Eaton Road at Luddenham.
