TMAA Conference puts safety in the spotlight

The Queensland Government has introduced mandatory labour hire laws which aim to give workers increased protection in a regulated industry where employers will be held accountable for doing the wrong thing.

The TMAA SCOPE18 Conference takes place 26 to 27 April and will focus on the theme of “SCOPE” – safety, compliance, observation, protection and engagement – in the Australian industry.

The conference will give participants the opportunity to learn cutting-edge technology and training knowledge platforms in the traffic management sector.

Key speakers at the conference include Neil Scales, Chair of Austroads and Director General of Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads, and Michael Caltabiano, CEO of the Australian Road Research Board.

The conference takes place at RACV Royal Pines on the Gold Coast in Queensland and includes networking drinks and a sponsor showcase.
