Tonkin Consulting acquires engineering company

Tonkin Consulting has announced it has acquired a Sydney based engineering consultancy company that provides structural and maritime engineering services, TLB Engineers.

Established in 1980, TLB has a range of technical services to public and private sector clients.

Tonkin Consulting’s involvement in major infrastructure projects includes the $155 million Northern Adelaide Irrigation Scheme, $404 million North South Interconnector Security Project for SA Water, $27 million Bald Hills Road interchange and the $16 million Kangaroo Island Airport.

Tonkin Construction Chief Executive Officer Gerry Doyle said it was an exciting opportunity to grow the business within the largest market in Australia.

TLB Director Mark Baker said he was excited to join Tonkin Consulting to offer a greater range of services to the market across a wider geographical area.
