Trendsetters and industry leaders have been recognised for this outstanding efforts at the 2015 AustStab Awards of Excellence.
AustStab’s Council, with the support of Caterpillar, presented the fourth annual awards night at the Yarra Valley Lodge last week.
The 2015 AustStab Awards of Excellence Finalists and Winners are as follows:
Category One:
Work Health and Safety
Winner: Stabilime Distributors Pty Ltd – Active Blind Spot Detection for ALL Mobile Plant
Finalist: Hiway Group – Hiway Safe
Category Two:
Excellence in Research or Education
Winner: ARRB Group – Continuing Research into Foamed Bitumen
Category Three:
Innovation or Excellence in Sustainability in Pavement Stabilisation
Winner: McMahons Ltd – Pakenham Racecourse Synthetic Track – Tynong
Highly Commended: Accurate Asphalt and Road Repairs – RMS Murrurundi
Finalist: SEE Civil Pty Ltd – Gold Coast Airport
Category Four:
Excellence in Recycling in Stabilised Pavements in Local Government
Winner: Flinders Shire Council – Hughenden Airport Rehabilitation Project
Category Five
Young Stabiliser of the Year
Winner: Damian Volker – Queensland Government, Department of Transport and Main Roads
Highly Commended: Christopher Cleaton – Stabilised Pavements of Australia
Matthew Kovess – Downer
The 2015 AustStab Awards of Excellence are part of the AustStab annual conference and were held in conjunction with the association’s Gala Dinner. Other elements of the dinner included the awarding of the coveted AustStab Golf Cup and the Honorary Members Award.
