Applications open for RMS apprentices and trainees program

Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) this week announced that applications are open for a New South Wales-wide apprenticeship and traineeship program starting in 2016.

“Individuals from across New South Wales will have an opportunity to jump-start their careers with Roads and Maritime, including roles here in Sydney and western Sydney,” a Roads and Maritime spokesperson said in a statement

“This important investment in local skills and jobs includes five apprenticeships and traineeships for Indigenous Australians as part of the 2016 Aboriginal Apprenticeship program.”

Opportunities are available for boilermaker apprenticeships located on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and at Mortlake, and painter apprenticeships based at Mortlake.

Traineeships are also available in business administration at Parramatta where individuals can attain a Certificate IV in Business, which is a nationally accredited qualification.

“Whether you are a school-leaver, re-entering the workforce or a mature age worker simply wanting to change careers, we encourage you to apply for the program,” the spokesperson said.
