ARRB signs six year contract with DOT to measure VIC road network

The Department of Transport, Victoria has chosen the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB) for a six year contract to measure the Victorian road network.

The contract will involve the collection of pavement condition data to inform road infrastructure management.

ARRB’s Infrastructure Measurement team will survey and collect automated pavement condition data, road geometry, spatial referencing and digital road imaging across the Victorian road network.

Nigel Powers, National Leader of Road Asset Performance at ARRB said the team are looking forward to working with DoT Victoria over the coming years to provide network data and outcomes that benefit all road users across Victoria.

ARRB will use its state-of-the-art data collection and survey vehicles on Victorian roads including the iPAVe, iSSAVe, FWD and HWD.
