AustStab 2021 Conference postponed

Pavement Recycling and Stabilisation Association AustStab has advised that the 2021 Australian Pavement Recycling and Stabilisation Conference, previously scheduled to take place in Sydney on the 20 October 2021, has been postponed due to the continuing uncertainty presented by the current COVID-19 situation.

“This decision has not been taken lightly, however the considerable challenges related to COVID-19 continue to adversely affect the viability of in-person events,” an AustStab spokesperson said.

“Although disappointing, it was a necessary decision for the safety and well-being of all involved as well as the uncertainty around timing of lockdowns and border closures/restrictions”

The conference has already been rescheduled twice. AustStab will advise a date in 2022 when venue arrangements have been firmed up. All current conference registrations will be carried forward to the new date and at the current delegate rate.

An announcement will also be made soon regarding the 2021 AustStab Awards of Excellence. The Awards celebrate leading practice and innovation in pavement recycling and stabilisation as well as the emergence of new talent in the industry.

“AustStab acknowledges and thanks all those who took the time and effort to submit presentation proposals and Awards nominations,” the AustStab spokesperson said.

“AustStab will be in contact to advise all presenters, Awards finalists and registered delegates of the changed arrangements.”
