Tony Tormey, Category Manager for Industrial Bearings at Motion, discusses the NSK High Performance Series (NSKHPS) Cylindrical Roller Bearings, stating, “These bearings represent a significant advancement in performance for heavy-duty applications. With an improved basic load rating and extended lifespan, they notably reduce heat generation, a frequent challenge in excavator operations.”

This series, celebrated for its versatility, offers up to a 60 per cent increase in bearing life and a 23 per cent higher basic load rating compared to conventional bearings, rendering them vital in the rigorous conditions encountered by excavators.

Nitin Verma, General Manager of Sales at NSK, highlights the merits of the new ECA Spherical Roller Bearings, another NSK offering.

“NSK’s ECA series, designed for high capacity, specifically improves design life in applications like swing gearboxes. Its standout feature is the specially designed brass cage, enabling larger rollers for increased capacity and longevity,” he says.

“Additionally, a unique surface finish on the raceways ensures skid free rolling of the rolling elements to avoid smearing issues.”

This innovation represents NSK’s commitment to advancing bearing technology in terms of capacity and durability.

Discussing NSK’s HR Series Tapered Roller Bearings, Verma notes, “The raceways are also specially crowned in these range of bearings which enables equal load distribution, a critical aspect in heavy machinery applications.”
