The Australian Constructors Association has today welcomed Australian professional services company, Calibre Group, as a new member.

Calibre will be joining the association’s existing 16 member companies. Seymour Whyte, ICON and Ghella are other members that joined the Association earlier this year.

Australian Constructors Association CEO Jon Davies said the 25 per cent growth in the association’s membership this year reflected the growing trend of organisations coming together to address the issues that are holding the construction industry back.

“Calibre Group is a trusted partner within the resources, urban development, transport, renewables, utilities and infrastructure markets,” said Mr Davies.

“Its partnership and people first approach align with the strategic direction of the association.

“One of Calibre Group’s values is ‘we do what we say’ and this could not be truer of our association.”

Calibre’s Managing Director and CEO Peter Massey said the Australian Constructors Association provides significant value not only to its members but the industry and the wider economy.

“Australian Constructors Association provides access to the latest industry thinking and insights and performs an important role in sharing best practice and contributing to policy,” said Mr Massey.

“With three operational brands in the Australian market; Calibre, our professional services business; Diona, our construction brand, and Sevengen, our renewables advisory, design business we welcome the advocacy that the Australian Constructors Association can bring to ensure a sustainable construction industry.”

Julie Stanley, Executive General Manager for Calibre, will join the association’s Board.

“I look forward to working with the leadership of the Australian Constructors Association and industry colleagues and applaud their advocacy for diversity within the construction industry,” Ms Stanley.

The Australian Constructors Association collaborates extensively across the sector and represent the views of industry leaders to help shape government policies to ensure Australian communities receive high-performing assets and services from the infrastructure, building, resources and energy industries.
