Contract awarded for $133M Bannerton Solar Park

Foresight Solar Australia has awarded the $133 million contract to design and build stage one of the Bannerton 110MWDC Solar Park, near Robinvale in Victoria, to CIMIC Group company UGL.

The successful tenderer will undertake the engineering, procurement and construction of the first stage of the solar park, which includes associated substation and Powercor Australia grid connection.

Work is due to begin in late 2017 and the park is expected to be generating power to the grid from July next year.

Once operational, UGL will provide operation and maintenance services for two years.

UGL has delivered five solar projects and currently has four solar projects under construction: Emu Downs in Western Australia, Kidston and Collinsville in Queensland and White Rock in New South Wales.
