The Australian and Victorian governments have awarded the $1.5 million contract to rebuild parts of the original Boggaley Creek bridge on the Great Ocean Road.
Ace Infrastructure will undertake the upgrade works on the bridge and road near the Wye River, located between Lorne and Apollo Bay.
The existing single span bridge will be rebuilt and eleven concrete slabs nine metres in length will replace 20 beams to form the new bridge crossing. The road in the area will be upgraded to eliminate potholes and rough areas.
Works at Boggaley Creek Bridge are expected to start in April 2016 and be completed by the end of the year, weather permitting.
