The inaugural Converge Expo 2025 has brought together industry leaders, innovators, and professionals from across Australia and beyond, across two highly successful and celebrated show days.
Across September 17 and 18, more than 5000 people rushed through the doors of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, for a glimpse of one of the only Australian-owned major events showcasing the latest tools and technology in the municipal works, civil and commercial construction sectors.
The first ever Converge Expo 2025 has been touted as a major success, having brought together key decision makers and industry players a mix of live demonstrations, equipment showcases and conference spaces.
Across two jam-packed days, Converge Expo 2025 welcomed individuals such as Economic Growth and Jobs and Finance minister Danny Pearson, as well as Civil Contractors Federation Victoria CEO and Victorian Civil Construction Industry Alliance President Lisa Kinross, who shared key insights into future opportunities and optimism across the sector.
Kinross opened up the first day of the conference on the Converge Expo Main Stage, touching on how industry can embrace current challenges in its endeavour to deliver the nation’s 10-year, $120 billion infrastructure pipeline.
Innovation on stage
One of the many highlights of the show was Converge Expo 2025’s Major Projects Stage, which gave some of the nation’s largest contractors a platform to update and divulge on the progress and innovation being delivered on some of Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects.
Highlights on the Major Projects Stage included presentations on the New Bridgewater Bridge, Mickleham Road Upgrade, and Inland Rail, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the strategic thinking and challenges overcome on these landmark projects. Such presentations were delivered by some of the country’s biggest industry players, like CPB Contractors, Laing O’Rourke, Webuild, BMD and Major Road Projects Victoria.
Attendees at this exclusive section also benefitted from direct face-to-face connections with senior industry leaders and project stakeholders.

Leaders galore
Across the Converge Expo exhibition hall, almost 100 exhibitors brought the latest technology, products, and services to life.
From established leaders to emerging innovators, attendees had the chance to see live demonstrations, engage directly with suppliers, and explore solutions shaping the future of infrastructure and construction.
Comprising of solutions for asset management, construction and transport machinery, software, maintenance, engineering and much more, the vast camp of exhibitor stands provided something for everyone.
Co-located with No-Dig Down Under – the southern hemisphere’s only large-scale conference and exhibition dedicated to trenchless technology – as well as Carpentry Expo, the overall show saw around 8000 attendees make their way through the exhibition doors.
General Manager – Events at Prime Creative Media, Siobhan Rocks says the interest and attendance at the event signifies a sustained interest in what could become the industry’s next big event.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better start to Converge Expo. Thousands of attendees came through the doors, and the energy was incredible from the moment we opened,” she says. “For anyone passionate about the future of infrastructure and construction, this is the place to be.
“Australia’s infrastructure pipeline is the foundation of our nation’s growth and resilience. Converge provides the platform for industry leaders to come together and drive that vision forward.”
