The new road bridge will replace the level crossing at Brunt Road, Beaconsfield to improve the safety for 8400 motorists who use the connection daily. Removing the level crossing will also provide faster and more efficient travel throughout the area.

The final designs incorporated feedback from the local community and as a result will feature new walking and cycling connections, improved lighting, and native planting – including more than 50,000 trees, plants, shrubs and grasses. A shared path will also be constructed to improve accessibility throughout the area.

Some initial works have already been completed, with a 120-tonne piling rig digging 26 piles in the ground, up to 24 metres deep, to create the foundations for the new road bridge.

The new road bridge will open by 2025.
