Early designs have been released for a new station located in Melbourne’s west near Davis and Leakes roads in Tarneit.
The yet-to-be-named station will include two platforms with an accessible pedestrian underpass for crossing the rail line.
A new four bay bus interchange and separated pedestrian and cycling paths will also be built as part of the precinct.
The station will also feature a landscaped area, equipped with seating, separated pathways, bike hoops and secure bike storage.
A new road will be built off Leakes Road to provide access to 400 new car parks for local commuters.

The community can give their feedback on the name for the new station, with names being considered including West Tarneit, Tarneit Rise, Sunray, Davis Creek and Melaleuca stations – a nod to local landmarks, and the environment of Tarneit.
Final designs will be released and construction will start next year, with the new station taking passengers in 2026.
This project follows the removal of three level crossings in Deer Park and Ardeer, which has made the line boom gate-free between Deer Park and the city, reducing congestion and improving safety.
Locals are now asked to have their say on the project to build a new station in Tarneit, as well as provide feedback on the station name.
