The New South Wales Government has released draft plans for the new $309 million Penrith Stadium redevelopment.
The redevelopment will include a new western grandstand and developments to the existing eastern grandstand. These works will increase capacity to 25,000.
New player facilities and change rooms also aim to increase female representation across multiple sporting codes.
The designs for the stadium upgrades were developed in consultation with the community and will be made available for public comment in the coming months.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Western Sydney Prue Car said the upgraded stadium would be a boost for the sporting and entertainment industries.
“I am delighted to see the upgraded Penrith Stadium brought to life in these exciting new designs,” Car said.
“This is a very welcome upgrade to a stadium that has been well loved by the passionate Western Sydney community.
To facilitate the redevelopment, the stadium is expected to close after the 2024 NRL season, and re-open in 2026. Construction timeframes are subject to planning and procurement processes.
