Following the appointment of works by Penrith City Council, early works for the Dunheved Road Upgrade in New South Wales will soon get underway.
Georgiou Group are delivering the works, which will aim to improve the safety, capacity and connectivity of the connection, as well as the wider Penrith region.
Commencing this month, the early works phase will run for six to nine months and focus on enabling a smooth transition into main construction. Works will include the completion of the final civil design, securing utility approvals and investigations, site and geotechnical investigations, traffic management planning, as well as noise assessments for nearby properties.

Major works on the project will see the road upgraded to a dual carriageway, as well as significant upgrades to several key intersections along the route, namely at Richmond Road, Greenbank Drive and Trinity Drive, among others.
Two new bridges will also be eventually delivered, as well as three new roundabouts.
Major works are expected to begin mid-2026.
This project is funded by the Federal Government’s Infrastructure Investment Program.
