The Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) has announced the winners of the 2017 CCF National Earth Awards, which honours excellence in civil construction projects across Australia.
In its 24th year, the CCF National Earth Awards Gala Dinner attracted more than 200 delegates and was held in the Great Hall of Parliament House in Canberra.
The winners of the 2017 CCF National Earth Awards are as follow:
Category 1: Project value up to $1 million
- Complex Civil – Bridge 3161 Strengthening, ACT
Category 2: Project value $1 million to $5 million
- Waterway Constructions – Hawkesbury River Bridge, Pier 2 Concrete Repairs, NSW
Category 3: Project value $5 million to $10 million
- Delcon Civil – Glenroy Main Drain Upgrade Project, VIC
Category 4: Project value $10 million to $30 million
- The BMD Group, encompassing Urbex, BMD Urban, JMac Constructions and Empower Engineers & Project Managers – Minnippi Urban Development, QLD
Category 5: Project value $30 million to $75 million
- Seymour Whyte Constructions – Pacific Motorway – Coomera Exit 54 Interchange Upgrade, QLD
Category 6: Project value greater than $75 million
- BNMC Level Crossing Removal Alliance, LXRA, John Holland, KBR, Metro Trains, PTV and VicRoads – Burke-North-McKinnon-Centre (BNMC) Level Crossing Removal Project, VIC
In addition to the awards for excellence in civil construction, two outstanding apprentices were the recipients of the 2017 CCF National Civil Train Trainee Awards as follows:
Certificate III in Civil Construction
Matthew Kreuzer – CivilworX Constructions, VIC
Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision
Tim Baines – Densford Civil, WA
