French construction firm Fayat has finalised its acquisition of Dynapac – the road construction equipment division of Atlas Copco – this week.
The agreement includes sales and service operations in 37 counties, production units in Sweden, Germany, Brazil and China, and a production partnership in India.
Rollers for asphalt and soil applications, pavers and planers are manufactured under the Dynapac trade name, the addition of which, according to a statement from Fayat, further strengthens Fayat’s strategic position in the road construction and maintenance equipment segment.
The company says Dynapac will continue to operate as an autonomous manufacturer and will be involved in the development of future technologies with other companies within the Fayat Group.
“This acquisition is a great opportunity for the Fayat Group and its customers, as Dynapac is a key player in the road construction equipment market with a highly recognised brand,” said Jean-Claude Fayat, President of the Fayat Group.
“Dynapac has an excellence strategic place in our Group and we plan on growing and expanding its presence and product offering. We will leverage its expertise and technologies together with our existing portfolio to continuously develop equipment that closely addresses our customers’ needs.”
