The New South Wales Government will match the Australian Government’s $155 million commitment to deliver the Nowra Bridge, following the release of the NSW 2018-19 Budget this week.
Federal Member for Gilmore Ann Sudmalis said the community’s voice has been heard.
“I have been working on the Nowra Bridge project with the community for five years, taking up our case in Canberra and making sure our voice was heard,” Mrs. Sudmalis said.
“The recent Federal Budget had the Nowra Bridge front and centre, and [the] announcement from the state government means we can get on and build it.
“This announcement is a credit to the many locals, community groups and advocates who worked with us to put the case forward.”
