The Federal Government is providing funding to upgrade two key pieces of community infrastructure in and around Hobart.
More than $10 million has been committed to the South Brighton Development Precinct, which will help to unlock up to 600 additional houses. This funding will go directly to upgrading local roads, new shared paths and the delivery of a new sewerage pump.
This will be delivered through the Housing Support Program, a measure designed to contribute to the national target of building 1.2 million new, well-located homes over the next five years. More information can be found here.
An extra $510,000 has been allocated to support infrastructure planning to improve connectivity in multiple townships in the Upper Derwent Valley Precinct.
