Georgiou Group awarded two multimillion-dollar contracts in NSW and QLD.

Georgiou Group has been awarded contracts to deliver the Breakfast Creek Green Bridge in Queensland and the M4 Roper Road Westbound On-Ramp in New South Wales.

The $38 million contract for the Breakfast Creek Green Bridge with Brady Marine and Civil involves the construction of an 80-metre arch bridge spanning across Breakfast Creek, extending the existing Lores Bonney Riverwalk by 175 metres and dedicated pedestrian and cyclist paths.

These works mark the fifth project in which Georgiou has delivered in joint venture with Brady Marine and Civil. The client for the works is Brisbane City Council, with the project expected to be completed during early 2024.

Speaking on the Breakfast Creek Green Bridge project, Chief Executive Officer Gary Georgiou said the joint venture has an alignment of approach and strong understanding of the client’s needs.

“We look forward to applying our expertise and knowledge to this project as part of Brisbane City Council’s Green Bridges program,” Georgiou said.

The $20 million contract to deliver the Erskine Road/M4 Roper Road Westbound On-Ramp for Transport for NSW is expected to reduce travel times between St Clair, Erskine Park and Penrith.

The scope of work involves the construction of a westbound on-ramp onto the M4 Motorway from Erskine Park Road/Roper Road and the reconfiguration of the intersection to accommodate the new ramp. The project is expected to be completed in 2023.
