The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator CEO Sal Petroccitto said Mr. Bailey’s contribution to the heavy vehicle industry over the past three years had helped to deliver significant reform across Queensland.

“Minister Bailey and his team have shown strong leadership in delivering national reform for Chain of Responsibility laws, which are due to begin in mid 2018,” Petroccitto said.

“It’s also been great to work with Minister Bailey on key national projects, including expanding the heavy vehicle camera network and locally to improve major freight access routes into Rockhampton and Roma.

“I’ve welcomed his input on many issues when working with Queensland’s Ministerial Freight Council and the national Transport Infrastructure Council.”

Petroccitto said the NHVR looked forward to continuing a close working relationship with the re-elected Queensland Government to continue the safety and productivity programs being delivered across the heavy vehicle industry.
