Nominations open to present at 2016 Engineering Technology Forum

Hosted by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, the 2016 forum will see experts from various disciplines explore a broad range of transport-related research solutions.

Hosted by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, the 2016 forum will see experts from various disciplines explore a broad range of transport-related research solutions. Nominations to present at the 2016 Engineering Technology Forum are now open.

Hosted by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from August 23 to 25, the 2016 forum will see experts from various disciplines explore a broad range of transport-related research solutions.

More than 500 delegates from government and industry are expected to attend the forum, so competition to present will be strong.

In keeping with the forum’s theme of ‘Practical research into action’, presenters are encouraged to explore how research has supported innovation in the multi-modal transport industry, including:

  • Delivery of transport infrastructure projects
  • Innovative research outcomes for all transportation modes
  • Repair and recovery findings requiring modified approaches
  • Industry solutions to complex transport needs
  • Implementation of emerging technologies
  • ‘Outside the box’ thinking that has generated cost effective solutions
