Non-Executive Director appointed by Downer

Downer has announced the appointment of Peter Barker as a Non-Executive Director, carrying with him 14 years’ experience as a Chief Financial Officer of ASX listed multinational companies.

Barker is an experienced Non-executive Director and senior executive with experience in finance, risk management, corporate structuring including mergers, acquisitions and divestments, and systems transformation in complex multi-jurisdictional environments in the engineering, services and technology sectors.

Barker is currently a Non-executive Director of Workpac Group and Metarock Group Limited. Mr Barker has previously served as a Non-executive Director of Independent Cement & Lime Group. He holds a a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland, a Masters of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University and is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania’s Advanced Management Program.

He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Fellow of CPA Australia.
