The new Road Safety Data Hub website is now live, providing valuable road data for both the public and private sectors across the transport industry.
With the finalisation of a new Funding Agreement between States, Territories and the Commonwealth, all jurisdictions have committed to share critical data that will be used to better inform policy decisions and funding allocations under the Road Safety Program.
It’s expected that the increase in road safety data being collected will better inform responses to road trauma and road deaths. A range of road data, including information about fatalities, hospitalisations, police enforcement and analysis of crash risk will be available.

This data will also help to best target road safety funding, saving lives and ensuring that funding will be invested in priority projects.
The website also provides greater clarity around road project spend, with road expenditure datasets showing specific sections along the network that have undergone maintenance or upgrades.
Source organisations include most state governments, as well as departments of transport and other associated road authorities.
