The use of building information modelling (BIM) processes on the London Crossrail project and the knowledge gained from those experiences is the subject of a series of seminars taking place across Australia next month.
Bentley Systems’ Advancing BIM Seminars Incorporating Crossrail’s Information Academy are coming to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney in March, with one of Crossrail’s key leaders presenting on the use of BIM processes and how they are working for the project.
Malcolm Taylor, Crossrail’s head of technical information, will talk about how Crossrail has successfully deployed BIM processes beyond level 1 through their project team and across the supply chain. He will highlight how this is helping to deliver one of Europe’s largest construction projects on time and on budget.
BIM is a set of processes for project execution that are helping project delivery organisations, such as Crossrail, drive better project outcomes and deliver better performing assets.
New ways of working and new tools are transforming project delivery, allowing architects, designers, engineers, and contractors to work more quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively.
The aim of the seminars is to help attendees understand and learn how to incorporate BIM processes into projects to improve collaboration, reduce risk and increase return on investment.
Space for the seminars is limited. Click the below links for more information and to register.
