Track installation along the 12-kilometre Parramatta Light Rail in New South Wales is progressing, with light rail track now complete from Carlingford to Camellia, and Cumberland to North Parramatta.
New and extended clearways are being installed between the Hume Highway at Villawood and Parramatta Road in Parramatta.
Upgrades at the Great Western Highway and Pitt Street intersection in Parramatta are now finished, with more improvements on the way.
Early works have begun on the Parramatta Light Rail, with intersection upgrades, new traffic light installation, landscaping and traffic adjustments underway.
The New South Wales Government has awarded a joint venture the $840 million contract to build the light rail system, which will connect Westmead to Carlingford in Sydney.
