The Grove GRT 8100-1 – The second of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere

Spartan Construction Limited, based in Hamilton, New Zealand provides innovative solutions to complex engineering problems. Recently, they acquired a brand-new Grove GRT8100-1 Rough Terrain Crane, the second of this new model in the southern hemisphere.

The new GRT range offers an impressive 2-year standard warranty, as well as the latest operating system CCS and MaxBase which allows for asymmetrical outrigger positions, maximised lifting capacities, and better access to congested job sites.

Prior to the formal handover from TRT New Zealand’s Sales Engineer, Jordin Hutchinson, to Spartan Constructions’ General Manager, Joe Fluhler, the Grove crane underwent a thorough Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) conducted by TRT’s Crane Service team.

Led by Elton Peterson, TRT’s Crane Service Manager, this inspection is a crucial aspect of TRT’s comprehensive end-to-end solution for the crane’s lifecycle. This includes TRT organising the purchase/model, importing, PDI, handover, customer/operator induction, and ongoing service/maintenance throughout the crane’s lifespan.
