The South Australia Major Projects Conference

After a three-year absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the South Australia Major Projects Conference is returning to the Adelaide Convention Centre.

In its 13th year and taking place on March 22 and 23, the conference will see key industry figures present the latest information on the State’s major projects, including the New Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the Hydrogen Jobs Plan. The Hon Tom Koutsantonis MP, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, will open the conference and welcome delegates with a Ministerial address.

A record funding boost towards infrastructure at the 2022-23 State budget is powering South Australia’s sustainability-focussed future, with significant projects focussed on health and renewable energy. Notable representatives from government, public and private sectors, including Defence, Renewables, Space, Aviation and Infrastructure will be on hand to discuss key projects and topics. They include the Revised 30-Year Plan for Greater Adelaide, the Airport Terminal Expansion, Festival Tower, delivering community value and social legacy through Indigenous participation in major projects, Smart City initiatives, and the redevelopment of the iconic Central Market Arcade.

With South Australia known as the nation’s indisputable “Space State” and its vision for a greener future, the conference will also host two expert panels focussed on sustainable infrastructure and emerging technologies in the space industry. The sold-out event is sure to be bustling with discussion and debate following its unforeseeable hiatus.
