Train Control Management Systems Summit 2021

While COVID dampened activity across the nation, Australian freight and passenger rail operators saw NSW allocate a further $1 billion to increase peak-hour rail network capacity, Melbourne roll out CBTC and Queensland prepare its network for ETCS rollout.

As the intent to achieve More Trains, More Services and future-proof the rail network through digital systems continues to strengthen, the multi-billion-dollar question uniting train control leaders in 2021 is: How to successfully realise benefits from digital train control systems while overcoming cost and integration challenges with replacing existing legacy infrastructure?.

With that in mind, IQPC Australia has organised the 11th Train Control Management Systems Summit (TCMS) to learn how to prepare control environments for radical change by:

  • Increasing network readiness for interoperable and productive rail operations;
  • Integrating and optimising value across legacy and cutting-edge ETCS, Traffic Management, Automatic Train Operations and CBTC systems;
  • Creating strong change management strategies to introduce large scale change across the network.

Expert speakers include:

  1. Gary Rogers, ETCS Project Manager, Crossrail (UK)
  2. Paul Mitchell, Project Director ATMS, ARTC
  3. Simon Cook, Project Director ETCS, Cross River Rail
  4. Stefano Saccomani, Associate Director (Traffic Management Systems), Transport for NSW
  5. Alistair McWhirter, Executive Director, Engineering, Department of Transport (Victoria)
  6. Robert Moffat, CEO, Australian Centre for Rail Innovation (ACRI)

The 11th Train Control Management Systems Summit will be held over 6-7 July in Sydney. For more information, please click here.
