Transurban has announced new additions to the Transurban Group Board, with three members set to join the company in non-executive directorial roles.

Patricia Cross, Craig Drummond and Marina Go will be appointed  board positions. This comes after the group announced that Neil Chatfield and Samantha Mostyn will retire from the Transurban Group Board at the conclusion of the company’s annual general meetings.

All three of the announced members have extensive experience in both executive and non-executive roles, both domestically and internationally.

Ms Cross has extensive experience in international capital market, risk management and treasury, having worked in senior leadership roles in seven different countries.

Mr Drummond has deep financial and customer experience in the banking sector and most recently was the chief executive officer of Medibank from 2016 to 2021.

Ms Go has extensive leadership experience in the media industry and has as a non-executive director in a broad range of sectors.

It is expected that Cross and Drummond will stand for election at Transurban during the 2021 Annual General Meeting.

Transurban Chairman Lindsay Maxsted said that the appointments were the result of a thorough succession plan for the company.

“These appointments will ensure that the Board as a whole is comprised of directors with the key skills, experience and attributes to effectively govern Transurban for the future,” Maxsted said.

Maxsted also praised the retiring members, saying that their contribution to the company had helped to establish continued achievement.

“Both Mr Chatfield and Ms Mostyn have been invaluable contributors during a period of significant growth and success for Transurban,” he said.
