At this year’s Leaders’ Dialogue at Hannover Fair, Matthias Dohrn, BASF President Global Procurement, presented VEGA level sensors as a shining example of how to answer the question: “Do our solutions create enough added value to scale up quickly?”

His answer: “A resounding yes.” Dohrn explained: “All you need in the first step is an ID link on the product that leads to the digital twin.” This already delivers 70% of the benefits of Industry 4.0.

VEGA shows how it works: as a founding member of the Digital Data Chain Consortium (DDCC), which promotes the secure, standardised use of digital product data all along the supply chain.
