The Victorian Government has appointed Rebecca Casson as an Independent Director of the Infrastructure Victoria board.
The board is responsible for advising government and publishing research for infrastructure related matters. Infrastructure Victoria also plays a pivotal role in preparing the state’s 30-year infrastructure strategy.
Casson is currently Chair of the Building Industry Consultative Council, President of construction worker entitlement body Incolink and a Director of the Victorian Skills Authority.

Previously Casson was the CEO of Master Builders Victoria and was the first woman appointed to the role. She’s also previously held positions on various board and advisory roles in Australia and the UK.
Infrastructure Victoria Board Chair Jim Miller congratulated Casson, while also acknowledging the work of previous Infrastructure Victoria directors Ann Sherry and Margaret Gardner.
“Rebecca Casson’s experience in infrastructure projects, policy development and implementation of change will be valuable as Infrastructure Victoria progresses the next update of Victoria’s 30-year infrastructure strategy,” Miller said.
