Industry leaders and decision makers will discuss major infrastructure projects shaping Western Australia, at the 15th annual WA Major Projects Conference, which returns to the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on the 26th and 27th of March 2026.

The Honourable David Michael MLA, Minister for Mines and Petroleum; Finance; Electoral Affairs; Goldfields-Esperance; Leader of the House, will open the conference. As Minister of key economic portfolios, David Michael will provide the keynote address for what promises to be a thought-provoking conference which fosters networking and collaboration.

Western Australia remains the nation’s strongest economy, with an unprecedented $38 billion infrastructure program rolling out over the next four years. Against this backdrop, the two-day conference returns with a focus on the infrastructure to support Western Australia’s growing population. At the WA conference, over thirty speakers, representing industry leaders, government agencies, and private stakeholders, will discuss major projects and topics centred around Western Australia’s infrastructure pipeline.

Considered the largest major projects and infrastructure conference in Western Australia, around 200 delegates from the infrastructure, construction, and development sectors, are anticipated to gather for the 15th annual WA Major Projects Conference to learn from speakers, as well as network and drive innovation in Western Australia’s major infrastructure projects.

Agenda Highlights

The two-day conference will cover a diverse range of topics, giving attendees the chance to engage with transformative projects shaping Western Australia’s future. Key agenda items include:

▪ Major developments across WA: The Chief Operations Officer will provide an overview of projects in the pipeline for Development WA, the state government’s central development agency.

▪ Building WA’s Health Infrastructure: The Director General of WA Health will discuss several new hospital and health care developments and redevelopments, which will support Western Australia’s growing and ageing population.

▪ Perth Airport’s $5 Billion Redevelopment: Perth Airport’s CEO will provide an overview of the massive redevelopment project underway at the airport to consolidate all commercial air services into the airport central precinct.

▪ The Murchison Green Hydrogen project: The CEO of Murchison Green Hydrogen will discuss this green energy project, which will play a critical role in the transition to a carbon-neutral economy.

▪ Westport Program Stage 3: The Managing Director of Westport will provide an overview of stage 3 of Westport, which is the state government’s planning program to move container trade from Freemantle to Kwinana.

Why Attend?

For professionals in the infrastructure and construction sector, this conference is more than just an event – it is a gateway to understanding the future direction of Western Australia’s infrastructure landscape. Attendees will leave with actionable insights, inspiration, and connections that empower them to actively contribute to Western Australia’s long-term growth and sustainability.
