The citybound entry ramps at Grieve Parade and Millers Road, and the Williamstown Road citybound exit ramp are now reopened to traffic, bringing the West Gate Tunnel one step closer to completion.
Over recent months, crews have completed line marking, barrier and sign installation and other works on key lanes and ramps along the West Gate Freeway.
With the installation of road barriers and finalising the citybound express lanes, drivers from the western suburbs can now commute from the M80 Ring Road and Princes Freeway to the West Gate Bridge, using the three new citybound express lanes on the West Gate Freeway.
Drivers wanting to get to the inner west suburbs including Brooklyn, Yarraville, Spotswood, South Kingsville, Altona North, will need to stick to the left lanes and exit at Millers and Williamstown Road citybound exit ramps.
The far-right lanes will run direct from the M80 Ring Road interchange to the West Gate Bridge.

The West Gate Tunnel Project will deliver a vital alternative to the West Gate Bridge, widening the West Gate Freeway from 8 to 12 lanes and taking 9000 trucks a day off local roads.
When the West Gate Tunnel Project opens by end 2025, the twin tunnels will serve as a much-needed alternative to the West Gate Bridge.
Using the newly expanded and strengthened West Gate Freeway and the twin tunnels, trucks will now have a direct access to the Port of Melbourne to and from the west, resulting in less trucks on inner west roads. The widening of the Freeway will also provide motorists with a clear run to the West Gate Bridge from the M80 interchange via express lanes.
In the next phase of works, crews will continue building the citybound tunnel entry and outbound tunnel exit and complete asphalting on key ramps and lanes.
From April, there will be outbound lane and ramp closures between Williamstown Road and Millers Road, on the West Gate Freeway on a number of weekends.
Crews will be removing a tower crane that played a key role in the construction of the outbound tunnel exit.
