A $4.4 million resurfacing project to improve three intersections along Kosciusko Road in New South Wales, will begin next week.
Work will start from Monday 27 October to deliver more than $3.3 million worth of upgrades to the Geikle Creek Road and Bushy Park Road intersections, east of Jindabyne, as part of the state government’s Towards Zero Safer Roads Program.
The upgrades are expected to take six months to complete and will include constructing dedicated right turn lanes, realigning the road, resurfacing and sealing, as well as installing new safety barriers and signage.
A $600,000 upgrade to the intersection with Rocky Plain Road, east of Berridale, will also be delivered.
This work is expected to take around four weeks and will include installing new safety barriers, resurfacing and new line marking.

In addition to these intersection upgrades, $450,000 has been allocated for resurfacing work to be carried out on a 600-metre stretch of the eastbound lanes on Kosciuszko Road, approximately 300 metres either side of the Kalkite Street roundabout.
Steve Whan, Member for Monaro, said the Kosciuszko Road is busy day-in and day-out with locals, tourists, healthcare workers, school children, and freight.
“It’s a very important road and we’re making sure it’s as safe as possible for drivers,” said Whan.
“This latest work follows $4.4 million worth of maintenance and safety improvement work completed earlier this year on the road from south of Eucumbene Road to Geikle Creek.”
